About the airport

Salangen Airport is a non-commercial airport on Elvenes .

The airstrip and the surrounding area, Arena Elvenes, are owned by Salangen Municipality. Arena Elvenes is operated by the wholly owned municipal limited company Astafjord Utvikling AS.

In recent years, it has been shown that the airstrip is very suitable for drone operations, and interest in using Arena Elvenes for this type of activity has increased.

Elvenes is located 12 kilometers from the municipal and regional center Sjøvegan.
